Bonjour from Paris

This is truly a remarkable city of history and beauty. First our apologies for the delay in posting as yesterday was a long day and we cannot connect to the internet in the hotel. Even the Reception staff advised me that it is rubbish!! So I am sitting in a Macca's on the Rue de Loisin and Poss is finishing her baguette and cafe in a little patisserie across the road.

We left London in a hurry - about 200 kph or more on the Eurostar. So quiet and it took about the same time to get to Paris as it does to get to Bacchus Marsh from Shepparton.

Yes Pop it is real. !!!

After a brief ride from the station we went up the Tour Eiffel and although the crowds are enormous being on a tour is THE only way to go - the fast lane. In the evening we took a boat trip along the Seine for a different view of the city of light.

Our picnic and wine in plastic cups was a delightful celebration of our anniversary.
When it was dark the light and buildings were brilliant but the light show at the Tower capped off an unforgettable day.

It was superbe !!! Alors we must say au devoir until we can get another WiFi connection.

Love to you all nous enfants!

  1. Love it! Can't wait to return to Paris for another visit. I don't think my last one did it justice and Feb is not really the best time to experience it. On the plus side, the queues would have been smaller...

So does this mean we need a fast train from Shep to the Marsh? Sounds good to me and I'm sure Sam would approve of it. And the Eurostar and its infrastructure is one impressive feat of Engineering... It is a Very Fast Train.

It was a beautiful weekend in Bendigo for Josie's but I'm sure the Maiden Gully Precinct will fill you in on that.

    Now onto the next post...

    The Marshians.
